Earlier this year we were awarded DLR First Frames funding for SOULMATE WANTED with award winning writer Mary Rose Kirwan. Winning the Kinsale Shark award for best screenplay in 2021, Soulmate Wanted will commence filming in mid August in the Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown area in Dublin.
Gwen, a pedantic believer in all things mystical, has just received a sketch of her soulmate from a stranger on the internet. Determined to find true love, she launches her own personal search campaign.Soulmate Wanted is an absurdist mockumentary tale about love, loneliness and hope.
We are currently busy in pre-production for this and recently explored the Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown area on a location recce. We stumbled upon some great local independent businesses in the area which we hope to feature in the short film. Be sure to stay tuned on our social channels for further updates.
